07Ex
Does anyone know where/how I can update the maps on my F-700BT? I often find myself driving on streets and/or bridges that don't even show up on the map, and those subdivisions have been around for 5-6 years, or more. The area where I live is in the middle of the city, so it's not like I'm driving on some dirt road somewhere in a rural area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Cal3867
Im not sure what version your running...but you could always upgrade to 3.0. I just did this weekend.
07Ex
I am using firmware 2.0. I would not want to upgrade to v3.0, because I've seen a lot of people still complaining about bugs with this version. Besides, I don't think v.3.0 is free. I was hoping there was something else I could do, other than upgrading the firmware, that would just upgrade the maps.
rheller1
maps are not free either. 3.0 is far better than 2.0 and is in my opinion worth the $$ to upgrade to. If you are feeling brave, search around and you can find a way to install the "unnofficial 3.0" but if you dont know what your doing, you can have a hapless avic real quick...your call
dianebrat
nobody gives out maps for free, not Garmin, Tomtom, Navigon, It's worth 3.0 to get the new maps, and there are sources you can get it for $
rlewis
That will probably change soon with Google rocking out. Wonder if we will ever be able to put droid on these things.
