CitizenX
Pioneer posted a new firmware update yesterday: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/CarAudioVideo/In-Dash/GPS-Navigation-Systems/AVIC-U310BT?tab=F
chinna_n
Good find. Did anyone updated yet? I was wondering if it included the fixes from Europe version update that fixed the Blue-tooth freezing problem(never admitted by Pioneer).!!

chinna_n
Updated the firmware today. Weird thing is the release notes does not mention anything about Navigation software update, only about Bluetooth updates. But I checked I saw navigation software has been updated to minor version 3 from minor version 2, but the blue-tooth software version is same as what I have from Europe Firmware update. Never the less it is good thing. Finally Pioneer released update for US. I have not seen anything instantly noticeable, but I felt Navigation seems to provide little more details about surrounding streets while navigating, and I felt color scheme(shades) has been updated. Please let us know your experience after Firmware update.

So, one again, what do the files do? I would like to know to see if they can be used on the Z110BT.
dapol
They are just an extract from the WINCEIMG file. It serves no purpose unless you want to attempt to modify the windows CE files for your 1.003 update. You can attempt to do it but one wrong move and you'll most likely brick your unit. Without testmode it really isn't worth messing around with the flash. As of right now we need to figure out how to get the ID file to boot testmode. From what I've seen it is looking for a exp090.key.
chinna_n
Everyone, Can you please post your experiences after the update? And if you see any notable changes? Thanks
rtstrider
So far I haven't noticed my unit freeze up this morning...Haha I said unit...Seriously though, if I'd not turn the ignition into the acc position within an hour of turning my car off the nav would freeze on the nav screen. So far so good this morning, but this is the first day this has been running with the update. I'll post more once I get back from lunch.

09SilveradoWes
I just did an install 2 days ago. Immediately did the firmware update. I have not experienced any of the normal issues so far.
