T0Mlol
viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25751&start=585 I'm talking about MyITGuy's post on the bottom of this page, he posted a link to two files both 700MB's each. I've been reading that you need 3 SD cards but apparently we only need one with this install. I read someone else on here tried this and bricked their unit. I'm ALL about the 3.0 and want it really bad but I'm SO worried about bricking it since I bought this unit for close to $1000 not that long ago. I'm sure we all have but I'm debating on leaving it on 2.0 or take the risk with this. Can some others confirm this install is fine? If not, please post a working one? Instructions would be nice too. Thanks!
DHL
If you can afford $1000 for a stereo, i'm sure you can afford $70 for the official upgrade. It is well worth it!
T0Mlol
Where do I purchase this at? I tried looking on the Pioneer website and it's listing the current firmware is 2.06 or something for the AVIC 700BT.

MyITGuy
Instructions would be nice too. Thanks! I followed the instructions in this thread with no issues, just skip the parts that mention swapping out SD Cards: http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25817 [edit]Just to mention, I didn't hear the pop in my speakers or the loading of the CD Drive that was mentioned, but following the steps got me to the right place anyhow =D[/edit] So far there have approximately 140 downloads with only 1 reported issue, I would hope that others would have spoken up by now? Okay. SD 1: WINCEIMG.BIN & WINCEIMG.CKS - 17.8MB (Copy just the 2 files from the update on the card) (Use the WinCE files from the X-Series Update. Files are in the PLT folder) Link: http://ds1.downloadtech.net/cn1010/firm ... Update.zip SD 2: TestMode 2.3 - 1.65MB ( Must be in a testmode folder) Link: download/file.php?id=7376 SD 3: x910 Backup FIles - 1.59GB Link: http://itchybot.com/x910bt.zip.torrent I don't get this part as you said we only need 1 SD card. I haven't unrar'd the two files yet so I don't know exactly what files are there but since I only have 1 SD, do I do step 1, delete the files and put step 2 and continue and finish it with 3 or what?? Yes, you only need 1 SD card as you are entering different areas via key presses or folders that are on the SD Card. [edit]Place all of the files on the card and continue with the instructions. Just disregard any instructions to swap out the SD card. All of the files mentioned above are included in the rar files, since the torrent was down for the x910 backup files I had to find them elsewhere.[/edit] It seems the boot process goes as follows, if it doesn't meet the criteria it goes on to the next method Service Mode - Special key presses noted in step 4.1 of the post I linked to earlier Test Mode - testmode folder is present and valid on SD Card Regular Mode - Launches software

Thanks! Just to follow up, the user who thought they bricked their unit is up and running on 3.0 finally...they are still working on the nav voices though. The issue they had was copying the entire contents of the SD card to the "My Flash Disk" drive, you should only copy the contents of the "My Flash Disk" folder on the SD card to the "My Flash Disk" drive. N-S-E-W
i have the new pioneer update. My bluetooth is acting up and i have modes done like data zip and stuff. Can i reapply my 3.02 and start fresh again? It's worth a shot. Just back up your data zip and anything else you modded first. After you backup, try putting disk 2 in and see what it does. I just installed the update on my new refurb unit and it wouldn't boot past start up. With the unit off I put disk 2 in turned it on and it fixed what was missing. I'm up and running. hanibal
i meant to say that i already have 3.02 on my unit with mods. So by putting 3.02 on again, should it work like it was from stock again? I mean 3.02 stock with no mods.
hanibal
i already have 3.02 installed, i want to do it again to clear everything. I tried putting the pioneer sd cards in and booted system up but nothing happens. Do i have to go back to 2.06 or something in order to redo 3.02?

If your only problem is the bluetooth you should be able to install an older version from the Pioneer website.
