HOW TO: Use a regular A/V Cable to extract A/V out an iphone

Recommended Posts

So i stumbled across this site, and i was reading around and saw a lot of people saying you cant extract video out of an ipod/iphone using the AUX cable unless u buy a standard apple one.. WRONG! This should help everyone out (unless not posted already) the standard in the industry is Red/White for audio, and Yellow for Video. WELL... If u plug that into an ipod/iphones jack. Its reversed! If i remember correctly its White for video, and red and yellow is audio! (if that doesnt work try red as the video wire) So all apple did was switch around some of their contacts so a standard aux cable wouldnt work. So i hope this helps! no more need to buy expensive cables, you can go down to your local radio shack and buy a standard one!
