ndy4eva
I tried out U310BT unit on my Jag last night. Everything seem to work fine. I used harness kit, and antenna kit for the wirings. I was pretty impressed with Pioneer sound quality compare to the factory radio. One thing that bothered me. Whenever I press hard key or touch-screen key, I hear the noise from the speakers. When there's music playing (mp3, cd or radio), it's very hard to notice. But when it isn't, you can hear the static noise. I did hard-wire by-pass for hand-brake. Would it create the noise? possible grounding issue? I guess I could disconnect hand-brake wire but I don't want to re-solder it later. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks! ndy4eva
I tried without parking brake bypass. The static noise is still there. I think I might have faulty unit. Uhmmm... I think I will drop by the store ask for replacement.
VBLUE42
Does your vehicle have a factory installed power amp?
ndy4eva
Nope.. The noise comes after the button release for about 1-2 seconds.
AVIC-U310BT
The only two things I can think of off-hand are bad wiring or a hardware problem. Once you've double-checked the wiring, bringing it back to the store for an exchange is the way I would go.
