KA4993
When my phone rings and it's someone on my contact list, my U310BT does not display the name of the person calling, it just shows the number. I've transferred my contact list many times, yet it still does not display the persons name when they call - have to pull out my phone to see who it is. Am I missing something here? No, I have the same issue. I don't know if the U310 is even supposed to have this feature, though you'd think it would. I haven't found anything about it in the manual. KA4993
It has the feature. There have been times when the name of the person shows up. However for the most part, when someone calls, just the number shows up. It's annoying because I don't have everyone's number memorized, so I have to fumble around and find my phone to see who is calling.
s????
It has the feature. There have been times when the name of the person shows up. However for the most part, when someone calls, just the number shows up. It's annoying because I don't have everyone's number memorized, so I have to fumble around and find my phone to see who is calling. When I make an outgoing call using the U310, I always see the name, but for incoming calls I only see the number. I know that some phones support names via bluetooth (with other devices), while others do not. Could this be a possible explanation? I've only used my original iPhone with my U310, and never any names for me. (That always annoyed me.) Sorry I cant be of more help.
ohitzjah
This has something to do with how the numbers are added on your phone. I have a Nexus One and it puts dashes between numbers when i add a contact so the contacts are transferred to the unit that way as well. When someone calls the unit caller ID doesn't have dashes in the numbers so it cannot recognize names. My friend has a blackberry with this unit and when someone calls him all the names show up because he has no dashes in contacts on his phone.
