Request for Help with X910bt

Recommended Posts

New to the site, but I appreciate everyone's information. I've learned ALOT reading threads the last week.

Here's my dilemma (I know this is mentioned in MANY threads but I've yet to actually find an answer that works. I have actually looked for the last 5 days trying everything I can find related to this topic)

My X910bt will not enter testmode, and I want to change speed setting in config.ini file - Unit came installed with Map Version 02.000500 and Verson 3.020100.

I've tried:

1) Using 4 versions of the Testmode file (including 1 for usb install & v2.3) - following instructions of how to place files on root of SD card using winrar to unzip. Note - v2.3 had a couple of files that seemed corrupted when I unzipped file.

2) 2 different SD cards (Scandisk SD 2g and Lexar SDHC 8g)

3) Hardware bypass - unit was installed at Fry's, they seemed familiar w/hardware bypass - I was told bypass was completed

4) Was going to mod speed setting in pioneer update and reinstall, but read that will not work due to safety measures built into update files

All I am trying to do is change the speed setting so I can view DVDs while driving. I'm hopeful once I enter test mode I can change the ini file. I imagine the answer is somewhere on the site, but I can't seem to find it. Thanks in advance for a little guidence.

When you use 2.3, how many folders are there after you unzip?

I'm trying to do the same thing, I have tried the files from READ HERE BEFORE section in F series. I tried with 1 SD card, and 1 SDHC card, no luck.

I've got another new SDHC card and according to one of our fellows here, it should work. I download testmode2.3 file and it only has 1 folder "testmode" I recall there was this MUTICAP folder before. I'm not sure if I need that.

We need to create some stickies for X series.
