Hey everyone, I just installed the U310BT. When I first tested using the iPod interface, it said "Device Read." Then it said "Error -19" (Communication Failure). After turning it on/off a few times, it now goes from "Device Read" to "N/A USB"

I am not using the Pioneer cable, just the one that came with the iPod. It is an iPod Classic 120 GB with firmware version 2.0.1, Macintosh formatted.

Any suggestion? I have an aux. cable hooked up, but I really want to use the iPod through the digital interface. The iPod lights up upon connecting it, but nothing happens.

You should double-check that the USB cable is completely inserted behind the HU. Sometimes these things come loose when finalizing the install. If you haven't (though you probably have), I would also verify that your iPod cable works with your computer using the sync cable in question.

One more thing you could check is whether or not it can read off a USB stick. Just load an MP3 file and plug it in... if it doesn't read, it's probably the connection. If the USB stick does, but the iPod doesn't, then it's a problem with the HU or the iPod.

My guess is that the USB cable is just loose though. I guess it could be the HU, though. Good luck.
