Newman Posted May 4, 2010 Report Share Posted May 4, 2010 People with an X710 or X910 may have noticed that the navi tends to give way too many voice prompts when navigating an entered route. for example for just one simple maneuver she will say... "in half mile enter 495 north bound"... "in quarter mile enter 495 north bound"... "in 500 ft enter 495 north bound"... "in 200 ft enter 496 north bound"... "enter 495 north bound"... She gives 5 commands when 2 or 3 would be just fine. For most people its just kind of annoying but they learn to live with it. But I have a customer who actually wants to get rid of her nav because of this. she may want to move to the X920 instead but can anyone with an X920 tell me if the 920 does this as well? or better yet, if anyone there is anyone who used to have a 710 or 910 and now has a 920 can tell me if the 920 is any better?
