I have been seeing a lot of comments on this lately so I figured Id address it here before we see anymore threads on this. With Z110/120BT and the X920BT there is an issue with VR commands if you don't hit the map OK button immediately after boot and before BT connects. The map OK button must be touched before BT connects as soon as it appears on the screen or VR commands will fail or be very inconsistent. The best way to make sure you do this every time is to make sure you leave off on the map screen when you exit your vehicle. When you return and start your vehicle, the OK button will be the first screen you see. If you do not do this, VR will fail and you will have to restart your unit and hit the OK button in order to get VR to work properly.

Dang.... this wasn't fixed in the newer units' software?

This has become extremely annoying, as I like to warm up my truck before I go anywhere, and I hate standing outside the door waiting for the nag screen to come up to hit OK.... It becomes more of an issue when it's raining, and I remotely start up my truck<---which means I have to deal with a trip with a hosed VR, because BT is connected by then..

Hell...it's about the main reason that I ordered the 120BT update.... :x

I was thinking about it from dawgbone's point of view.

If he remote starts his car and the BT fully loads before he gets into the car obviously his phone is going to automatically connect when he is within range before he can get in to hit the OK button.

Instead of turning the car off and back on again, i wonder if manually disconnecting the bluetooth then reconnecting would essentially do the same thing.

Well... I kind of told a "white lie".... I have a Toyota truck that came with Toyota's remote starting system... and anybody that knows Toyota's remote start, knows that it shuts the engine off when you unlock it to get in(super dumb design)... So for me, it's really non-issue... Although, I do plan to rip that garbage out, and install a "real" remote start system in the near future, in which this would become an issue <--currently researching for something that plays nice with the stock immobilizer chip thing-a-ma-jig....

It would be worth trying out as it could possibly be a work-a-round.... Not a very "fun" work-a-round... But a work-a-round never-the-less....although, from what I can tell, I think VBlue is correct, and that the VR has already been hosed by then, and needs a reboot...

It still sucks when not remotely starting the truck...

I hope they fix it soon.... as most of my driving is around my area and I seldom need the map view...

I'd much rather leave it on whatever source (IPod/XM/FM) and just get in my truck and go with it all working correctly...

I've also have seen the IPod not being connected upon boot as of late... IMO it's because of the hotter temps(summer), which could possibly make this unit boot faster... But I've had the IPod not being loaded on boot....at minimal twice a week...

Not sure who I should talk to about it.... But I bet a good source would be to make comments on Pioneer's Official YT account...
