oups59 Posted June 21, 2010 Report Share Posted June 21, 2010 When I imported my Mercedes C36 from Japan, it has installed a AVIC-V7MD and AVIC-H9 audio-video-TV-GPS All audio and video works great but not the GPS. I know that the maps are Japanese maps but I seems that I am not able to acquire GPS signal. I did look at the Navigation Status menu: "Position of satellites and radio wave reception status The position of GPS satellites from which data is currently being received is shown. Satellites used for positioning are shown in orange, any other satellites from which data is currently being received are shown in yellow, and satellites from which data cannot be received are shown in black." I am never able to receive data from "orange satellite" And Positioning status by GPS satellites reads "Not available" Do Japanese's GPS different from US or Europe? Is there a way to upgrade the software? Will CNDV-40R upgrade will works with my units? Quote Link to post Share on other sites
