VW Eos - Retained Accessory Power (R.A.P.)

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if someone can help me locate a 12 volt accessory wire connection with a Retained Accessory Power in the new 2007 VW Eos.

I just replaced the OEM radio with a AVIC-Z1 nav systemt and I would like to the HU to stay on (just like before) after the ignition key is turned off. This feature allowed the HU to stay on until the door is open or until it reached 20 minutes.

Any help will be appreciated.

I have an 06 Passat and it requires a can-bus adapter for the R.A.P. I think the Eos requires the same. As far as the VSS, this may also be in the can-bus, I know it is on the Passat. I didnt want to shell out the money for a can-bus adapter but I found the VSS output on pin 28 of the cluster. I dont know if the Eos electrical is anything like the Passat, but it may be similar.
