I really like the unit but in the past year it started making a rattling noise coming from the DVD drive. I ejected the disc and found it had scratches on it in a circular shape. I found the 08 east disc it originally came with online and reburned it. everything worked fine...for a while. I ejected it and it scratched in the same way. I went to reburn this dvd and took found the 09 east disc so i upgraded. again everything worked fine for months, then It did the same thing. The drive scratches every DVD or CD I put in there. It also seems to sound worse when I hit a bump. Is there any way I can try to fix this without sending it to pioneer? Clean the laser maybe? I can't put the stock headunit back and ive been told id be without a stereo for a month. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

My CD's are alright but when I put in my map disc(burned) after awhile it stops workin and have to constantly keep reburning a new one. Haven't tried anything to clean it yet as well.
