AVIC-X920bt name sort problem using Palm Pre

Using the Pre with Google as my contacts I can not get my Pioneer AVIC-X920BT to sort my contacts by first name.

 

Have tried the sort on the both Frist & Last with no success. I have also deleted my face book so there are links. Each time deleting all contacts and reuploading them.

 

Any help please!

I spoke with Pioneer. They said they have issue with a few phone and its the phones fault.

 

I don't have this issue with any other bluetooth devise. I have 2 other cars and it works fine.

Had this issue with my iPhone 3GS running IOS 4 and X920; thanks to someone else's tip on this forum (don't remember who) I redid the contacts on my iPhone and put both first and last names in the last name field (first name first) of my phone - works like a charm; now my X920 shows all my contacts in first name order. This would probably work with your Pre as well.

Thanks for the info but my contact come in from my contact list on Google, which doesn't have fields for First & Last names just names only name.

 

I know I can switch them in Google but what a pain in the butt. Because phone does't import the contacts just use Google I have to have a messed up contacts in my email.
