fattyslimslim
Hello, I am having trouble installing a newly purchased (used) xdv-p6 6 disk dvd changer. Ihave an N3 that seems to be working ok. I don't seem to be getting any power to the changer. The N3 works fine, but I see no lights on the changer, and nothing new appears in the source menu. I installed the av-bus cable, ip bus cable and black dvd changer cable. I don't need the separate power cable if I use it in ip-bus mode, right?
Zermelo
Download the installation manual for both units, they are available on the website and check if hooking up the power is necessary for the CD changer. My guess is that YES, you do, I have an N5 with external xm radio and usb boxes, and both of those require external power ALTHOUGH they use the ip bus cables.
fattyslimslim
You were right. I misread the installation instructions. Attached the power cable and all seems to work well. thanks!
