issue with custom background on AVHP4200DVD

So the first time I tried it, it worked great, And the second time, (to change the pic) it worked fine. well i loaded up another pic on a flashdrive i thought i'd like and when i plug it into the reciever all it does is show the file name then everything on the screen disappears except for my background image. which is no longer on the flashdrive btw.

 

tried it with an SD card as well and it does the same thing.

 

what gives? it worked fine before now it doesnt..

also when trying to play a DVD it only plays the audio and just continues to show my background screen

I think the reason why the video doesn't show is because you've set the background image while you were in the video mode. When I watched a DVD the first time and set an image background, I only heard audio. When in your movie mode just go to the menu and remove the background. Set the background when listening to the Radio or Ipod, seemed to work for me.

 

The difference between seeing the file names for your pics vs. the actual images I believe is based on the "Media" toggle button at the bottom right of the screen (you may have to click on the ">>" button that exapands your bottom menu").
