x920bt install on 06 pathfinder - can't find the VSS wire

Hey folks,

 

I was wondering if anyone on here has installed an x920bt on a 05-06ish pathfinder without the factory bose system in it when they started. I'm having trouble finding the VSS and reverse wires using any of the info I've found on the net.

 

I know that you're supposed to be able to find it around the steering column somewhere but I don't know which harness to look at and which wire in that harness to splice. The pdf's I've found with the electrical diagrams are vague to me.

 

If anyone has any good info on it I'd greatly appreciate it.

 

One thing I noticed that differs on my pathfinder from the others I'm seeing is that there were 4 harnesses connected to the factory system rather than one larger one. The wiring harness I got to connect the pioneer to the factory harness only had two connectors. I'm wondering if the VSS wire might be bundled into one of the two smaller harnesses that were connected to the top of the old unit. If so which harness and wire?
