1loudls Posted August 2, 2010 Report Share Posted August 2, 2010 xm antenna are much more sensitive to being placed inside the car as opposed to GPS ants (since there are much fewer birds in the sky) move your antenna to the out side of the car and your problem will go away. a lot of newer cars have a very small amount of tint in the glass to help preserve the interior by blocking out UV rays, this tint affects sat reception. i used to have my antenna inside, adn as long as i was in town (where there were many terrestrial repeaters) and reception was fine and as soon as i would leave town reception went to crap (there where no terrestrial repeaters to help boost the signal) Quote Link to post Share on other sites
