Am I an idiot, or is Ipod scrolling ridiculously difficult?

I am a new owner of a X920BT, upgraded from a D3. I am having enormous difficulty navigating my Ipod or Iphone music content on my 920. My problems include:

 

1. Flicking up / down the artists or songs lists: I must be an incompetent "flick-er," because I keep accidentally selecting items instead of scrolling. Solution? Is it just me? Is there a portion of the LCD that is more flicker-worthy?

 

2. Scrolling makes the content disappear: On those rare occasions when I actually am able to scroll, the text disappears, and I am scrolling through a blank void of nothingness, which makes it somewhat difficult to know when I have arrived at my artist / song destination. What's the deal?

I had the exact same problem as you with my 920. For me I found leaving my finger on the screen and just pulling down through the lists works better for scrolling than trying to 'flick' through them.
