hepcatz
Garrett, I did this procedure back in 08 on my than virgin Z1....All went well...Do we have to follow the same procedures on a drive we previously unlocked, or can we cut straight to the case, hook up the drive and Acronis the image right on.... Thanks....for your expected reply!
garrettoomey
Yes, if your drive is already unlocked, you can go straight to Acronis and skip the previous steps.

Figgen
After lurking for a long time I took the plunge and ordered Garrett's new Z3 upgrade hard drive for my Z2. My feedback for those thinking about it...do it 1) reasonable price for the upgrade 2) FAST shipping from Garrett (less than 7 days INCLUDING border crossing into Canada...that's faster than most retail ordering I do!) 3) plug and play I'm really enjoying the new maps and software. In my area it made a huge difference. Thanks Garrett!
pmason718
The funny thing is that I did this twice already but for some reason the new version of Acronis is confusing. I can get it t recover. I can mount the drive but when I go to perform a recovery it only sees the computer hard drive. My drive is un-locked. Any suggestions
pmason718
When I go to recover the drive and it ask me to choose my recovery destination I only see my laptop hard drive
timthecarman2004
When upgrading the z2 to the z3 firmware, does the graphics look different on the screen??? Just wondering as I am thinking about doing this upgrade.

Can you see the avic hdd in windows explorer? If not, then windows does not see the hdd, and neither will Acronis (regardless of the version).
