X920BT won't pair with Samsung Moment (Android) or Palm Pre

I just had my unit installed - when I try to pair my samsung moment phone via bluetooth, my phone tells me that the Pioneer Navi rejected the pair. This happens after I enter in the key, I have tried changing the key to something else, but I get the same error. On my old phone, a Palm Pre, it doesn't even prompt me for the key, it sees the Navi, then attempts to pair and just says failed after a while without even asking me for the key. I can't find anyone posting a similar experience on the web or any help in the manual. Does anyone know what could be going on?

I got it working by initiating the pair from the Avic, idk why it wouldn't work initiating it from my phone but this works all the same.
