Morfious
I just finished upgrading my friends Z110 (Now Z120) and everything worked just fine the first time around. I noticed that Pioneer is offering a firmware update to 2.003 on their website. This is a free upgrade. I was wondering if this was "safe" to do with the hacked upgrade. Since it's not my unit, I don't want to brick his radio. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. A big thank you goes out to all of those involved that are far smarter about this sort of thing than I am.
VBLUE42
At this point you should assume no until there is info to say otherwise. Keep in mind this whole thing is in it's infancy at this point.
Morfious
That is pretty much what I figured. The update may work but there is no telling if it will mess things up for future upgrades. Thanks for the input.
ShortFuse
Do it. I checked the 2.003 version and I can hack it just as easily as I hacked 1.
whobedaplaya
No worries. I was running 1.000 bone stock and did the whole shebang in one shot (hacked 1.001, 2.00, 2.03). Works just fine

mhudnall
I did the 2.003 upgrade after the hack upgrade and it appeared to install correctly, but my system information still shows 2.000. Has anyone else seen this? Is there an easy way that I can confirm 2.003? Thanks.

Just imagine that there is an invisible button there that you are pushing. It will take you to another screen that will show you the v2.003. I don't know why they buried this information like that. trentofdestiny
When installing the 2.003 over the 2.000 and the hacked 1.001 (1.002), do I need to hack it? That is, do I need to copy the two files into the 2.003 firmware before installing it? (The ones used to hack 1.001)
