boostd4
I just installed the FX3.1 from the sticky above. It seems I can only pan down towards street level (so I'm looking more towards the horizon) a few clicks. Not enough to see the sky or more than 2-3 streets ahead when at street name viewing level. I looked in map settings and clicked all around smart zoom and saw no adjustable control for it. What am I missing? Thanks!
abb1
Turn smartzoom OFF!! Then pan down and it will stay down
boostd4
Even with smartzoom off, it won't pan down more than 2-3 clicks...
abb1
Hmmm, I don't know about FX 3.1, but with most mods once you have smartzoom off, you just press the screen and use your adjustment arrows to move the nav horizontally to see the sky
N-S-E-W
Sounds like you need to alter the sys.txt file, particularly the [map] section. Here's what I have been using for well over a year with good results: [map] 3d_max_tiltlevel=9000 3d_min_tiltlevel=5000 3d_zfar_horizon_ratio=200 3d_max_zfar=60 zoomfactor=105 tiltfactor=20 If you have some of these already and want to experiment with other values just put the new test value in front of the old value but with a semi-colon in front of the old value. An example is 3d_max_tiltlevel=9000 ;7500 with the ;7500 being the old value. I particularly find the tiltfactor=20 very useful so the stepping does not jump in large increments. Play with that one to your liking. Hope this helps.
