mikeyb
Hello everyone, I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a Z120BT. Should I go with XM or Sirius? I'm not looking for feedback as for the content between the two platform's packages. I'm OK with either content. I'm more concerned with the user interface on the Z120BT between either Sirius or XM. I found an Amazon review where the poster complained there isn't "Cover Flow" for the Sirius stations. (I think the poster means station logos, not "Cover Flow".) I've read the forums here at AVIC411.com, and found one about UI complaints with the Sirius interface regarding the "pad data" (station, artist, song); however it wasn't clear to me if that would apply to the Z120BT or not. Any advice? Mikey B
VBLUE42
The sirius interface is far less attractive and does not allow for more then one line of info or station logos. The XM interface is much nicer and includes three lines of info and station logos.
aggie99
I just got my z120 last week and opted for XM. Contentwise I didn't care but like VBlue42 said the XM interface is much better. I did alot of research before I bought it and most people seemed to share the same feeling about the Sirius interface being inferior.
rgarjr
the only thing nice about Sirius is that you can use one of those docked radios and use it for both the AVIC and pull it out and use it at home.
trd larry
Has anyone seen a difference in reception between the XM and Sirius. I have Sirius in my car and all most never loose reception. The XM in my truck I seem to loose the XM reception a lot. I had the antenna under the dash, then moved it to the top of the dash but no change in reception.
timhunold
I love XM on mine, paid $77 for a year of service, made a cross country journey pleasurable.

Only time I seem to lose reception is in parking garages.
CamelTowing
My XM reception is slightly better that my Sirius. Sirius seems to work better in less populated areas, XM works better in cities
rgarjr
My XM reception is slightly better that my Sirius. Sirius seems to work better in less populated areas, XM works better in cities That's probably due to XM having a lot more terrestrial repeaters than Sirius.
trd larry
Seems like I need to have my XM checked out. I seem to lose reception more than I think it should. I too got the year special for $77. That is why I went with it.
stoveken
try the xm antenna on the rear of roof or trunklid . it will be much better than on top of the dash. jim
jfelix
Sound quality is much better, more bandwidth. XM sats are lower in the sky and reception is not as good as a result.
