507brewery
I purchased a AVIC-U310BT Pioneer GPS 2U head unit Demo model from a best buy store. The demo CD is locked in the unit and cannot eject. Makes sense for a unit mounted on the wall so one couldn't steal the CD. Is there a screw or something to remove? How can I get the CD out? A code? What? I can't find anything on the interwebs!
507brewery
From Pioneer customer service: "all lock functions that our units may have can only be unlocked by the Dealer. So you must go to the Dealer and ask if a lock was set to this unit and to have them unlock it." Calls to best buy and posts to best buy forums haven't had any positive results. VBLUE42
So take it back.
507brewery
So take it back. Would be nice, but I bought it off a website "cowboom.com" and they say to ship it back (note they are affiliated with Best Buy, and they couldn't even answer). blah blah, so 2 weeks with no stereo in my car and a couple hours of removal, re-installation. Great. Not a good compromise.
507brewery
Well according to the Best Buy installer I talked to from a B&M store, there is no locking function. Maybe I just have a defective player.
