bit_bucket
Very cool. I wonder if we can then start up Netflix etc in this mode.
VBLUE42
Not from the head unit. It will need to be done from the phone.
bit_bucket
Sorry I should have been more specific. I wonder if this is going to take the place of all the button pushes we go through to get the Z to be able to accept the Netflix stream in which we initiate from our idevices. If so this is a cool feature.
VBLUE42
Yes, thats exactly what its for. The Youtube app would be another one this was targeted at.
Pioneer-Avic
The netflix and you tube app works fine using app mode. Please let me know if there is anything else you would use app mode for and I will look into it.
ptwat
A Tom Tom GPS app, or Waze or Skobbler...
Pioneer-Avic
A Tom Tom GPS app, or Waze or Skobbler... I tried the Waze and it did not work. It seems only applications that play video will work on the system. The application mode was not in the original specification sheet I received. I have requested information on this feature and will respond back when I know more about this.
JasonH
A Tom Tom GPS app, or Waze or Skobbler... Motion X Drive works. The app needs to support video output, very few currently do.
Pioneer-Avic
And any website that you open with Safari browser that plays Quicktime videos should work.
ptwat
Motion X Drive works. The app needs to support video output, very few currently do. That sounds promising. App developers can decide whether they want to be compatible if they think the base is large enough. So if we wanted to send them a suggestion we just need to say that they need video out to run on the 130?
