Mark G
I have been looking at both the AVIC-X920BT and soon to be released AVIC-X930BT. Would it be better to buy the X920BT now and upgrade the software when available or wait for the release of the X930BT? So an upgraded X920BT would have all the updated features + voice recognition while the X930BT would only have a volume knob/detachable face as a plus? Should be a no-brainer for a upgraded X920BT unless I am missing something, right? Anybody have some input or advice for me?

dianebrat
I had a horrible experience with the X920 and it's BT being unusable, and I love the knob being back. Add in that I never use voice commands, I'd be the perfect person for an X930 except for the fact the nav stinks compared to my old F700.
Mark G
Thanks for the input guys....with me now, its which one will look better and do i prefer the knob of the x930 or the smooth lines of the x920? The voice recognition is something I really dont see myself using which i used to have with my Kenwood DNX. Anybody know the employee accommodation price of a X930BT? IsLNdbOi
Does the x930bt have a faster processor than the x920bt?
VBLUE42
Does it need a faster processor?
IsLNdbOi
Ah ok, found the answer elsewhere. Both the Z130BT and X930BT have faster processors than the previous models.
VBLUE42
And where does it say that?
IsLNdbOi
One of Sonic Electronix's staff posted it on their forum. Yeah, yeah it's not directly from Pioneer, but that's all I've got.
VBLUE42
Well a slow processor has never been an issue with these units. I doubt that has been changed in the new units.
adefeatedman
To the person that stated that they had problems with the BT on the 920, will that be improved with the 930 and/or the software upgrade? I have the 920, and while I have no problems with pairing bluetooth, I have had problems with people hearing me clearly. I would love the rotary knob...
VBLUE42
BT likely wont change in the new units.
adefeatedman
BT likely wont change in the new units. Gotcha. Thanks much. And also, thanks for the youtube Avic Feeds video. I had no idea how to use it before. Didn't know it turned it into a contact.
