Hi everybody.

I’ve spent days crying at the (sadly known) boot-loop problem with my AVIC F700BT.

And even more days at the PC screen trying to find out a solution.

Tried many fixes that were looking nice.

But all failed.

And this one worked.

Thank you so much vitorvieira (may I call you vitor ?? )

Just one short modification (for me at least):

At the step:

Dismount "DSK1" and then click on "NEW" and name it "My Flash Disk".

I could not create “new†and name it as requested.

Then I’ve tried the only other option offered.

Which was to “format†the DSK1(or “delete†? Sorry, I’m writing here from memory, I don’t dare launching these wizard tricks again. I’m too happy that it works now).

And I also had to use firmware found on Pionner site rather than the one listed here.

Sorry, I’m no specialist at all.

And honestly, I have no clue what “dismounting “means.

I just know it worked and that I’m so greatful.

Thanks again Vitor.

Whoever you trust in, may he (she) bless you.

Please let me know your e-mail address and I’ll send you small present.

(or: you come to Belgium using your GPS and I offer you as many beers as you can drink).

(there you know who I trust in :D )

...great forum...first post...

I also have an F900BT...and it's rebooting...have tried various different solutions to fix this problem...but all ultimately fail...

...this looks like a great thread, and special thanks to the OP for taking the time to help others - I've downloaded and extracted all the files to SD cards...question though - before I try this, does anyone know if this will work if you have Version 2.0090000 currently installed?...the reason I'm asking is that the Pioneer web site suggests that if you upgrade to Version 3 (which this seems to do) without first having CNSD-100FM installed it will totaly brick the unit?

Cheers

...well, finally plucked up the courage to try this...and it worked (thanks and total respect to the OP)...but only for a day!!!...did everything as noted, and for a day I had super fast tough screen control, the latest maps, no booting problems, etc...but when I turned the ignition this morning - nothing...I'm now at the point that I'm convinced this unit is never goinna work (has anyone ever had a F900BT that has worked as intended without any problems?)...

...I've now tried every solution to get this re-booting issue fixed, and I'm out of patience...

...right now I feel like stripping this piece of utter crap out of my car, smashing it into as many pieces as possible, and sending it back to Pioneer with a note telling them that this is what I think of their product, their customer support and their after sales service...

...anyone got any recommendations for a replacement unit in the £300-£400 price range?...that isn't a crap Pioneer?
