I had been riding with my radio for about 2 years without it hooked up in my yukon. And I was fighting the navigation, have to reset my position all the time. Got bored today and went and found out where the VSS wire was in my truck. I hooked it up to get the speed gauge working on the deck and the navigation works perfect now. I am always facing forward on the road. Now it puts up the white dots that show you what roads that you have been on. For all that need to know.

I have the 1999 GMC Yukon SLT, the body style from 1996-1999.
The VSS wire is Dark Green with a white stripe on it behind the radio. you will see it.
