thought i was getting an f900bt but got an avid d3 instead ..syas it needs disk what r my options

i bought a diffrent dd unit but was sent this one instead and have no clue about it..does it need a disk to use the navi system i just hookeded it up and it wont work..also thought i did the bypass but i did it with instructions for a diffrent unit duhhhh is there a link to it here couldnt find it ? also what l;se might i want to know about the unit to get it working right ? does it need filmware updates ect like other unit ? ty

1. if you brought the f900bt and got the d3 instead, go exchange it for the one that you wanted.

2. im 90% sure that you do need a dis for the navi to work. if you want to watch a movie, you have to take out the navi disk and put in the movie disk.

3. the bypass from a different unit will not work on the D3

4. cant help on the update uodate part. i think it only update you with new updated map.
