Normski Posted April 28, 2011 Report Share Posted April 28, 2011 I'm thinking about buying an AVIC-F910BT, and I have a couple of questions I hope you guys can help with: 1. I know I'll be able to control an iPod on the head unit (via the correct Pioneer cable), but I'd really like to be able to also control it directly from the iPod. Is that possible? I heard it's possible on other models (F320BT...), but they use a different Pioneer cable, so I guess the interface must be different too. BTW, I'm not interested in video, just audio. 2. I've heard horror stories about slow start-up times, frequent crashes, etc. Have these been ironed out on the latest FW? casemods Posted May 27, 2011 Report Share Posted May 27, 2011 1. Just want audio? Use the 3.5mm plug. Want to control the ipod from the ipod? Use the 3.5mm plug. 2. My f700bt is SLOOOOOW starting up. Like over a minute. It's got windows on it... And you don't need the official $50 pioneer cable. I bought one for $10 on ebay and it works. Link is in my signature.
