2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee laredo

Recommended Posts

hello all.

sorry to ask a stupid question but i am going crazy looking for something that i have no idea what it looks like. i have a month with an AVIC-120bt (due to work and crazy schedule i had no time to install)and i am looking forward to install it.

i wanted to know what do i need in order to install this on my jeep?

what i have

-4 speakers

-sub with box

-amp

-amp kit.

my questions (hoping someone can help me)

1- Read the book, did the break bypass (mute over connect to light green and ground) but i cant find the VSS wire. Would anyone be so kind enough to tell me were i would be able to find the VSS wire for a 2005 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo? what color is it, were can i connect to it, what is the closes spot to the stereo to pick VSS?

2-the factory material around the stock radio should i use that and make the whole bigger to fit the avic?

3-who would i go about creating a face plate for the avic to make it look like a stock radio (so no one would get an idea to steel the radio)

4-should i cut the stock radio wires to connect to the avic power connection?

5-the Reverse signal wire goes on the wire of the tail light?

please help me
