H2SS
I have an AVIC-X930BT and a 32GB USB thumb drive tethered. My problem lies with my music folders. If I have a certain amount of folders in the root directory or in another folder, many folders do not show. For example all of my zero through T music groups show but not U through Z. It isn't the amount of mp3s that are causing the problem. I put all of my MP3s on the drive without folders and all 4000+ songs were there. I called Pioneer, they told me you cannot have more than 100 folders because that is all the hardware can recognize. Well that's not the case, 188 of the folders show, just not all of the 277. If I could sort my music by genre with the USB drive this wouldn't be an issue however if I want to hear a certain genre or band it has to be in a folder. This is so frustrating. Am I missing something or is there a workaround? Thanks.
VBLUE42
There is a folder/file limit for USB/SD that you are likely experiencing. You will need to use an Apple iDevice if you want better results.
rgarjr
yeah your best bet is to just get an ipod classic. I use a 32GB SDHC just for music vids and films.
