Recommended Posts

Hi,

my name is Daniel and i am from germany and i need your help.

I own a F220, Firmware Ver. 2.0 in combinatinon with the AVH-6300BT.

I really tried a lot to get in the Testmode to install mods, but the F220 won't get in the testmode.

I did all like the manuals here to get in the testmode but i failed.

Can anyone help me how i can get in the Testmode on my Avic F220?

Hi,

I tried this Testmode form your link but it didn't work. Nohing happens when I put the SD-Card with the testmode in.

Can anyone help me?

By the way. Its the european Version of the F220 I think.

edit: I tried it again and i got into the Testmode. :)

Only problem now is: When I try to start ezrider.exe it says, that the ezrider.exe cant be found or any files from the appliation.

What can I do that iGo runs?

edit2: I got Igo8 at the F220 running. It's running without failures. A Howto will follow. ;)

Hello,

iam sorry that i haven't answerd earlier. But the Time at the last Weeks didn't allow it.

So here ist the requestet Tutorial. At least its really easy. The biggest Problem was, to find a runnig iGo for the F220. The most versions of it and the most other Nav-Programs aren't compatible with the F220.

But i found a working version and had sucess.

At first you have to download this iGo and Testmode. I packed it in a .zip. Pass is avic411

Then copy the folder in the .zip to the root of your SD-Card. Please change nothing at the folderstructure or the files if you don't know what you do. In this case you risk, that iGo oder TestMode won't work correctly.

Next step are the maps. There are a lot oft Websites you cand download them. Copy the map-file(s) to "iGo->content->map". For this time you are finished an your iGo is "F220-ready"

Then switch your F220 on and put the SD-Card in the slot, while F220 is running. Now press the reset button of your F220. Normally appears now the Windows-Desktop and Testmode is started. Press the "Start"-button of Windows and start the explorer. Then navigate to Storagecard->iGo and now double click on the iGo.exe.

If you are done all steps correctly, iGo starts now.

Next step is to get a GPS-Connection. The standart port and baud rate for GPS which is set in iGo is wrong. So you have to change it manually. On my F220 the correct.port is 2 and the correct baud rate is 57600. If that don't work there are tow possibillitis: Your GPS-Port is not unlocked or at your device are other options correct. At this case you have to test alle possibillities you can set at port and baud rate. If this fail too, your GPS-Port is locked surely. How you can unlock the port on the F220 i don't know. Maybe another meber does know it.

Now you have to set the TMC-Port. Thats easy. Only start the auto search and iGo will find it automatically.

Only thing which works not at the F220 is TTS and the sound at all. The output noise is too low and all my try's to make it louder are failed at this time.

Maby someone know how to make the iGo sounds or the sound of the WinCE on F220 louder?!

And the automatic noise regulation of the Radio Device won't work anymore by using iGo.

At least iam sorry for by bad english. I tried to make it readable. Sorry if that failed at some places of the Tutorial.
