Rodge
I hate when that happens on legit forums.... People bringin their ideas together, workin together, helping each other out, then ,BAM! corporate fucks have to spam us with their brainless advertising..... What should we do? Can we just delete their posts?
PaisanNYC
Yes, but Jason DOES have a day job! LOL He will take care of things when he gets home.
OSUV
Hangem by their balls. Hagem hi. Use that M4. I'm sure that Jason can delete the posts but he would be doing it daily. He should also consider deleting their membership status if that's possible.
ducatiboy
Oh he does... he also check the IP addresses and stuff like that. It's all on file. If the spams show up in the Z1 forums (where I'm a moderator) let me know and I can take car of them. Take a little work off Jason. But anywhere else, send a PM with a link to the post to JasonH and he will take care of it. If someone wants to, post a message after the spam warning unsuspecting users it's just spam and to disregard the message. Jason or I will take care of it when we have a chance. OSUV
Ahh, I see we have some Seinfeld fans in here. Very nice...very nice! 3 cheers for the Soup Nazi!
PaisanNYC
But why should I pay $2.00? Everyone before me got bread for free!
JasonH
I don't know what more to do guys. I have IP filters in place for common spam addresses, I require visual confirmation on registration, and I require email validation. I delete spam as soon as I see it, but I'm in school most of the day. There is really nothing I can do short of manually activating each and every member.

You can't stop every single one from getting posted. Let the members find the spam and mark it and have them PM you for the ones to delete. I think what you have no is fine, without becoming a problem for normal users.
Rodge
yea... nice work Jason, no one is complaining at all, just trying to figure out how to stop reading about "botox" on the AVIC forum!!hahaha Seinfeld was awesome, but what about "Curb your enthusiasm?" Larry David's finest work.... It's just like my life!
