ryar
Rearview and bluetooth options in Primo 3.0? The latest release of Primo is 2.0. The stock rear view camera works, but the bluetooth option within Primo does not work, the stock software will still control it. Don't worry about the ports, when avicnet properly boots it will start a port splitter which will allow multiple programs to use the gps. You don't need avicnet 2.0 before installing 2.1, it is stand-alone. Despite your unit stating wince 5.0 I would recommend updating as per the directions. I had the issue of a freeze up on boot before updating as per the directions, I'm sure this is the issue preventing you from booting properly.

ryar
Hey Ovalball, Still checking in once in awhile and trying to help others. I have an early Christmas gift for you, I found a primo.exe file which allows Primo 2.0 sound to work regardless of source. I posted it on the second post of this thread. Simply replace your primo.exe with the one in the zip and enjoy full sound! Happy holidays!

lucacacciaglia
Good evening, I'm new to the forum. I saw that you posted avicnet2.1 multilanguage site Italian pioneernavgate. you could post the part 3 if you have it and since that time and down and the site is not responding for a long time no
ryar
This mod is not Italian pioneernavgate. I suggest posting there if you want them to re-up links.
tomytomy
Thanks for all your help, Ryar. I tried the link shared by you to upgrade the WinCE OS itself, but it appears that the links to download the files are not active. If you know, can you point me to the links directly. Any help would be appreciated. BTW I'm learning to live with the test mode boot and use Primo in the test mode itself. Rearview and bluetooth options in Primo 3.0? The latest release of Primo is 2.0. ryar
Hi Tomytomy, Is your unit a US f500bt? If so, the file you need is here (found in post #3 of thisthread) . The directions are below as per hiepp (post 381 of this thread). I remember updating my f500bt was a pain since there where conflicting files and directions on numerous threads here, however I believe following the above steps was how I was finally able to update. hieppo said: OK after some digging around in all these threads with weird headings, I was able to find the service combination for F500BT unit. I found it in this thread. http://avic411.com/f...tart=60#p206891. MAP, MAP, MENU, ENTER (Press down on the joystick), MENU then ENTER. Here is the other helpful item from that thread. You can only use the RESET button in this service menu. So to move from option to option, you press RESET quickly one by one. To select, you hold down RESET for 1/2 second or so. When it ask for you to reset, hold both RESET and POWER for a few seconds until it reset. I was able to flash the new WinCE and copy over the My Flash Disk from OP. Everything seems to be working so far. Good luck. Update!! Now that I had a chance to fully tested, there is no guidance voice on the F500BT like the two previous F500BT users posted on this thread. I noticed something was weird when the sound volume is really low. I guess the hacked EZRIDER in this rar file is not fully compatible with F500BT. Guess back to the drawing board. SUCCESS!! WOWEEEE!! Everything is a success! I found the issue and fix the audio issue. Please following this instruction for the F500BT model. I was very successful. You need only a single SD card, at least 2GB in size. Copy the entire contents of the RAR file except for the WINCEIMG.BIN and WINCEIMG.CKS to the root of SD card. For the two WINCE*.* files, I had to use the one I download from this link. http://www.rapidshare.ru/1206567 The one that came with the FX3.1 would not allow me to boot after I flash WinCE> You will need to go to the folder APL2\iGo\ and delete the current sys.txt and rename sys_749UC.txt to sys.txt. You can delete the other sys_*****.txt files and any maps that you may not use. You may need to do this because the F500BT may not the capacity for all the new maps. 1. Insert SD card (minimum 2GB) with testmode into AVIC and turn it on. 2. Backup My Flash Disk by copying 3. When the pioneer logo comes up, press and hold the power and reset buttons at the same time until the blue service screen comes up then release power and reset buttons. (you should see Press reset again to reset but don't press reset yet) 4. Press in this order MAP, MAP, MENU, ENTER (down on joystick), MENU then ENTER. (each button press will show an asterisk at the bottom center of the screen). If the correct combination is pressed, then a menu with options pops up. 5. Select Wince Upgrade with Format (SD) 6. At the bottom center will first display the status of reading in the file. It then will clear the message and will show the status of writing the file. Then it will do a quick test. Wait until it says restart in the bottom center. Reset the unit and leave the SD card in (remember to reset you have to press and hold both power and reset buttons.) 7. You should be greeted with testmode (It will look very similar to normal windows). Open Explorer and copy the contents of the "My Flash Drive" Folder from the SD card to the "My Flash Drive" that is located on the unit. Overwrite everything. (It will the copying will take 140min but will only take about 20) 8. On the desktop should be an icon to RESTART the unit. Double click on that to restart, make sure you take out the SD card so normal boot process happens. 8. Select your language and voice options. 9. Enjoy FX3.1 A special bonus, I was able to download the latest 2010 maps from here http://gpsundergroun...ll-here./page25 into the F500BT without any issue. You will need to delete the older maps and just copy the MAPS, POI and BUILDINGS to the respected folder under /APL2/iGO/CONTENT Really GOOD Luck now and enjoy to those able to succeed. hedehede81
Hi guys, I've written a little script in my Android phone, so that I can type any location on Google Maps and export the POI to a file that AVIC can understand. (kind of like Avic feeds but for the phone) Here is the deal, I have to put this file to the root of AVIC's SD card or USB flash drive and connect to my AVIC. It is such a hassle. Is it possible that with this mod, I can just send the file over bluetooth? What protocols are supported in avicnet's bluetooth stack? I can connect an additional bluetooth dongle to AVIC's USB if need be. Thank you.

Hi, I think, only one option to import custom poi to the navigation is thru USB, so when you save your new poi to the right directory on the phone and enable mass storage mode, avic should find it and load. Second option is by SD card, but it is not easy applicable with phone TM

Second option is by SD card, but it is not easy applicable with phone TM Well the problem is, given the size of the recent cards for phones (32gb, 64gb etc) the AVIC just locks up if I enable USB Storage mode on the phone. It can't address that many folders and files. I also looked into wireless flash drives like Seagate Goflex Satellite and Airstash but they can only be connected to either wifi or usb, not both at the same time. tomytomy
Hi Ryar, Thanks so much for your help in pin pointing to the directions and upgrade. I did exactly, what the post said, but looks like I have to download more than two Win*.BIN CKS.. files. I did copy the downloaded 2 files in SD card root and even came to service menu for upgrade (with SD card (Format) option), but the process was stuck on step#6 (Reading 100% completed) and it never moved further to writing step. I went to the first post of the link you had posted, and it looks like that I have to copy more than just 2 files, but the download appears to be not meant for AVICF500BT. And hence thought of checking with you before proceeding further with that download. Please help.. Hi Tomytomy, Is your unit a US f500bt?
