baggio48067 Posted October 21, 2011 Report Share Posted October 21, 2011 3.5mm vs RCA input Does anybody have a prefernce on this? I just bought a car that already has this pre-installed. I just want to use my iphone to play music and read many reviews that the CB-IB100II Ipod Adaptor is clunky at best. I don't mind using the aux input but want to get some feedback. Also, for the life of me I can't seem to find a pic of the rear of this unit to ensure I purchase the proper part that connects if buying the 3.5mm. garrettoomey Posted October 25, 2011 Report Share Posted October 25, 2011 The CB-IB100II is only only option if you want to control the ipod from the avic screen. (video not supported) The cable in your link will not support video or ipod control from the avic screen. If you want video, you will need an RCA to 3.5mm cable and connect it to the AV Input RCA on back of Z, but you will not be able to control the ipod from the avic screen.
