How do you reset an AVIC D#

I just had my avic d3 taken out of my 07 cobalt and had it put in an 06 trailblazer. Now the Nav is acting up arrow going backwards, sideways, telling me to turn once I've already passed it.

 

It looks like this is common when switching cars. I seen in other post that im supposed to go to the 3D settings clear all 3 fields then reset the unit.

Do you reset the unit by unhooking the battery and reconnecting it or its there a another way?
