nodnarb901
when I'm listening to songs through my D1 and Pioneer ipod adapter, some songs are a lot quieter than others. When I listen to the same songs through the ipod's headphones the volume is the same as the rest. I even went into itunes and raised the volume under the preferences to the max and no change. tillithz
maybe the quality of the song ?
cntrylvr79
maybe the quality of the song ? Makes sense since the headphone output of the ipod using compression to prevent that from happening.
madmanfrommars
If you have the latest firmware for your ipod, there is a volume limiter setting. Try making sure that it is off (IE the volume can go up to the maximum) and check to see if the song volumes match the others again.
wildwill
It is my understanding that the CD-IB100 II does not recognize any of the iPod's settings. In other words, if you have set a volume bias or equilization preference in iTunes, this information gets lost using the CD-IB100 II interface. I was thinking about editing a few songs by raising or lowering the RMS sound level by a few dB and see if that makes a difference. I haven't gotten around to this. Would be interested in knowing if there is an easy fix for this.
