I know my iPhone 4s won't play video through the iPod cable but couldn't I buy a cable to connect to the av2 input (on the front of the unit)? If I connect a regular 3.5 mm cable to my iPhone, I can hear audio but what kind of cable do I need to watch video and audio from the iPod to the av2 input?

you would need a 4 pin aux cable (audio and video) where a standard aux cable is only three pins

Is there a reason you wouldn't want to have the Ipod cable giving ipod control, video and sound? I've got it for my x930 with my iphone 3gs and it's pretty sweet.

while it is "pretty sweet", it is always much faster to find exactly what you want from the ipod directly.

oh yea, as mention in the first thing he said, apperantly the newer Iphone he has will not transmit video through that cable, which is the whole reason that he is looking for another solution.

I have an iPhone 4s and the extra cable from pioneer that hooks it up to the HU plays video flawlessly

I'm curious about this as well. For kind of a different reason. I want to be able to view apps on my 910BT. I was thinking that I would buy a iPhone cable that would give me red/white/yellow RCA. Do you think this would work to monitor apps? It should right?

As long as you have a jailbroken iPhone with a TV OUT app installed.

Thanks! Didn't realize I would have to jailbreak it.
FYI- I have an app that displays my engine monitoring in the form of gauges and I would like to get the gauge display on my 910BT
