Strokin393 Posted February 23, 2012 Report Share Posted February 23, 2012 We have a 98 expedition and we trying to install the d3, but dont know what wires to hook up to this plug they say is for our truck. It has 4 plugs and i dont know if or where to hook power antenna up, amp turn on, we dont have an amp unless it comes factory in truck, orange wire that says dimmer on it, and i think thats it. Whats the orange wire with white stripe for coming off the d3 harness? Quote Link to post Share on other sites
JasonH Posted February 23, 2012 Report Share Posted February 23, 2012 If you don't have a motorized/powered antenna or amp then you don't need to connect them. The orange dimmer wire is most likely the illumination wire on the D3 side. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Strokin393 Posted February 23, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 23, 2012 I got the plain orange one thats for the radio to light up hooked to the orange wire with white stripe coming from the d3 harness and the ford plug has another orange wire and it has a white stripe and it says dimmer and i dont have that hooked up, i just got the one for illumination.
