bowwowowwow
Hello. This is my first post here, and I'm rather ignorant when it comes to in-dash systems. I had a z120bt installed into my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Quadcab, along with aftermarket Focal speakers, tweeters, and w2 subs. I'm happy with where I'm at, but I'm the kind of person that always has to have the "latest and greatest." What I want to ask is if it is worth it to rip out my z120bt and put in a z140bt when it comes out. I only use my system for navigation and music (CDs/iPod Touch. I don't care for radio,) and was wondering if the hardware between the z120bt and z140bt was significant enough to call for a replacement. If not, can I upgrade my software from the z120bt directly to the z140bt? Does this change my UI, as well as maps? Also, I am looking into in dash systems with 3g/4g. Any reccomendations? Thanks. P.S. What is the "Video Playlist" feature on the z120bt? I can't make video playlists in iTunes, so I'm a bit confused how to use this feature on my z120bt.
VBLUE42
I can't make video playlists in iTunes, so I'm a bit confused how to use this feature on my z120bt. You make video playlist in iTunes the same way you make music playlist.
JasonH
I would hold off until the software update. You'll get Navteq maps and same features as the Z140.

Thank you for the promp reply, but my Z120BT will not load videos in playlists. I'm trying to figure out how to use the 'Video Playlist' feature on my Z120BT.

Thanks for the reply. So you're saying that I should keep my Z120BT and just get the map/software upgrade, instead of just replacing the whole system with the newer model when it comes out? I'm trying to figure out how to use the 'Video Playlist' feature on my Z120BT. What do you mean? The 120 doesn't load any videos anyway. Everything is on the iPod. The 120 just displays on the screen the content on the iPod. Create a playlist in iTunes and drag some vids into it. Select video playlist on the unit and it should work. jmtorres
When does the update from avic z120bt to 140 come out because I did not think the upgrade from 120 to 130 was worth it.
