Look at customgadz they have a module similar to the one used for the iPhone option that works even better and you don't loose bt
Why modify something hardware when it can be done with software?

Well... not quite. It is very similar to how the App Radio works. And right now only one phone is supported- the galaxy s3.

Hi everyone.
I'm making a lot of progress. I've been working almost non stop on this. I'm learning more than I ever wanted to know about the structure of Bluetooth packets and reading the decompiled source code. I have started hacking together an app that starts a bluetooth server. Last night I had a breakthrough of getting packets back after sending them to the AppRadio. I will just need to get the AppRadio into a "trusted" state so it will send back packets showing touch events. The rest should be cake. Then I'll do the same thing for the buttons.
I also found out why it can take so long to connect and how to make it connect within seconds. I posted it on (Shameless plug) appRadioForums.com.
Anyways get your bounties together. (Start that kickstarter) Hopefully I'll have something working which I'll post on Youtube within the next week.
