I just wanted to let any UK users who are still having problems with their F900BT that I bought a firmware upgrade from Ebay UK recently which has worked very well for me for the last two weeks.

Although there are free fixes out there to download there seemed to be a plethora of old files laying about the internet, and it often wasn't clear what country they were for. It all seemed like an accident waiting to happen if you chose the wrong files.

The great thing with the Ebay fix is that it is country specific - these files are for the UK only.  It also comes with extensive documentation support included on a CD.

The fix is a bit expensive at just under £30.00, but it did work and cured my F900BT of the dreaded reboot loop and upgraded the maps. It was a lot cheaper than buying a replacement unit, and it makes my F900BT saleable again.

The Ebay user I bought from is called simonfcox who has a 100% feedback of more than 1705 as of September 2014. He seems really helpful and is easy to contact for support. The advert was titled "NEW Pioneer Avic F900BT - F700BT Europe 2013-2014 Maps Upgrade - Speed Cameras".

I have no connection to simonfcox other than being a happy customer who is grateful to have satellite navigation and radio working again!
