I just picked one up for the wife's car and had a couple questions.

First how accurate is it going to be without the pink speed sensor wire connected?

Second, I'm using a Pac SWI-RC for the steering wheel controls. The instruction say to plug the jack into the proper port, but which is it? I was thinking it would be the hardwire remote connection on the Pioneer, but wanted to verify that.

Thanks for any help.

Yes, you plug the steering wheel control in the wired remote input. The other similar input is for the bluetooth mic.

yes seeing how steering wheel controls are wired external remotes, the wired remote input would be the correct spot.

as long as the system can get a good clean view of the sky (not in a major city surrounded by tall building and bridges) it should be very accurate with out VSS hooked up.

however, hooking it up will only make the system more accurate, especially when there are things blocking good sat reception.
