HI,

I've installed a SPH-DA100 (Europe model with May Update installed) a few weeks ago in my MK5 VW Golf.

All is going well, I only have an Iphone 3gs so I havent used all the features, however I only really bought the for the Ipod use and smart looking system.

1)In the past week I have my Ipod freeze up twice when skipping songs (160gb Ipod gen 7).

and it completly locks the ipod with the Pioneer logo instill i manually do a hard reset of the ipod.

2)My reversing camera sometimes works, and sometimes doesnt. sometimes it will switch screens easy and quickly others it will take a good 10 seconds which is too long.

Has anybody else come across this? i saw that there is a recently update available (however doesnt seem to be in europe yet!)

Thanks

Ashley

The last update was to improve the rearview camera. Since I don't have one yet, I didn't install it - nor do I have an iPhone so I have plenty of other problems :) Anyway, Pioneer suggests that you install every patch they distribute. They send me e-mails when they release a new patch. You can also browse to their website and when you look at the spec's, they have a link for the update. Not sure if it'll work for the EU version, but it does for the US.

Yes, I have been experiencing this for 3 years now with my AVIC-Z120 and iPod Classic 160GB gen 7. Every time the iPod climbs up to a song# greater than 100, it will lock up before it gets to song 200.

The lockup does not require skipping. It will lock up all by itself while playing too. However, usually the song# is above 100 before it happens.

It's probably not the specific iPod, but an Apple software bug, because I noticed this problem immediately and returned the iPod to Sam's club and ordered another from Amazon. Same problem.

100% repeatable, but Apple does not seem to care...
