Sorry for the double post, can't edit from my phone. I just thought about it tho. If you don't have any molex connectors on your board or drive, you can get an adapter for that too.

I do have them. I finally found the power wire, still drive doesn't work.

There should be a molex connector on your motherboard. If not you could use the one from the optical drive. But if there is an extra connector the cables are cheap at most computer stores, a local best buy would have them too. I haven't attempted this yet and if the drive is an IDE drive that is problematic for me. When I built my computer I didn't worry about having legacy connections.

I too have no ide in my computer, I just used an external ide to usb connector, picked it up for 15 bucks which was probably high.

I was having some problems figuring all this out as I bought my Z2 about 6 months ago and immediately upgraded the hdd to a 2010 Z3 80gb drive. I purchased a kingswin USI-2535 from Frys to connect to my laptop, but nothing. I read some reviews online and saw that it was severely underpowered and causing problems for many others. I returned it and got a SIIG USB 3.0 to IDE/SATA 2.5" enclosure and the magic happened. Im updating as we speak, I'll let you know if it goes smoothly! I read all the posts and all the supplemental info in links and such and was able to figure it out. Thank you to all of you for your help!!!

My antivirus flags these two files as being potentially malicious. Anyone able to confirm these are safe?

HackTool:Win32/keygen

Quick question. I have a Z1 with a Toshiba HDD and the Z3 update and the 2010 maps.

So to install the 2012 map update can I burn the image to a DVD's and update that way or do I have to pull the HDD and hook up to my PC?

Sorry I looked around but couldn't find the answer.

Thank you very much for you help.
