Help F700BT problems

I installed a used avic f 700bt yesterday I followed all the threads on here and hooked up the unit to my 2006 pontiac gto and it works except that the navigation settings and system settings cannot be accessed. The bluetooth won't sink with my iphone, and the usb cord recognizes my iphone 4 and plays the song yet no volume comes out of the speakers. The gps works and gives my current location yet, I am unable to input an adresss for a new destination. The sd card with a new image is not detectible. Even with all these problems it still plays cd's, I have searched the avic forum and similar problems were not found. Any help or knowledge would go a long ways.

Well the first problem is you probably didn't connect your e-brake wire or do it correctly. By law not supposed to be able to enter info or watch video without bein in park and ebrake on. Look into softmodding your avic ( I'd suggest daftia 3.whatever).

 

Do you have the A/V and iPod cable Hooked into iPhone or just the USB part?

Thanks for the help. I will recheck my ebrake wiring. as far as the software i believe that i am running a 3. something software but i guess it cant hurt to re do that as well and the ipod is hooked up through the usb cable through an ipod adapter.

You also need to connect red white and yellow cables into audio jack in iPhone/iPod that will fix audio issue. It's not updated firmware. It's modified firmware that will fix problems like no video or GPS while moving.
