hummer_h3
I'm returning a 940 due to a defect and was wondering if it would be better to order a 930. I have found one place that still has a few in stock. Anyone out there who has had both and can recommend either way.
loy
940 will have newer maps and advance app support. If you get a 930 and buy the map upgrade it'll be a 940. I guess it's boils down to price difference and if you want the latest available maps.
hummer_h3
Funny about the maps. My old Z1 (which was updated to a Z3 with a new hard drive and software) had my street on the maps. The short period I had the 940, the maps did not show my street. Small item (short street), but I found it rather amusing that the old maps had my street and the new maps didn't. I'm actually looking at functionality with XM, CD and micro SD card. Screen display and more importantly, does anyone know if the basic software is the same? I don't like spending hours installing a radio just to have to pull it out a few times to trouble shoot the problems and then return to the dealer. My old Z1 was trouble free for five years; then, probably due to driving thousands of miles on dusty desert roads, the CD player stopped working and eventually the door stopped working. loy
Yeah the software is basically the same minus what I said about advance app mode and android support.
