BristolF6
I have a D3 that has some dirt under the touch screen. Its hard to say what it is but it looks like the previous owner got a little windex in there and it dried. Can I remove the touchscreen and clean the back of it? If so is this difficult or just removing some screws? Thanks!
BristolF6
Anyone? I just want to know if I can safely take the screen off myself or this is something the factory will have to do. I don't want to ruin the unit. Thanks!

BristolF6
Well I gave it a try and messed up the unit. All I did was remove the black face plate that contains the touch screen and board. I unhooked 4 ribbon cables as I was going to try to remove the board to get to the back of the screen but decided against it. Put the ribbon cables back and put the face plate back on. Now the screen is blank white. The touch works, if I touch around on it the channel changes etc. But no screen output. I went back in 3x and reseated the ribbon cables with no luck. WTH??? Just want to add that I am meticulous about things like this. Super careful and clean work area and no static. Not happy!!
